The Need for a Shelter

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority in light of the war in Ukraine. Air raid sirens frequently sound in our region, posing a real threat to life. For this reason, the reconstruction project includes the construction of a modern shelter to ensure the safety of everyone at the center during times of military danger.

What Does the Project Involve?

• Construction of a shelter on the center’s premises, capable of accommodating over 60 people and providing reliable protection.
• Creation of comfortable conditions during alerts, including the installation of ventilation systems, sanitary zones, access to drinking water, and food supplies.
• Installation of communication systems for emergency contact, uninterrupted lighting, and other essential life-support systems.

Why Is This Important?

Students with intellectual disabilities require special support during evacuation efforts. Having a safe space will not only ensure their physical protection but also allow the center to continue its activities, even during prolonged periods of military threats.
