Arts & Vocational Studio Mission

The workshop is an essential part of our professional training program for young people with intellectual disabilities. It is a space where they can develop their creative and professional skills by crafting unique handmade products that have commercial value and are in demand in the market.

What Does the Project Entail?

• Rental of the workshop space, including utility costs, equipped for the production of gypsum and concrete items (planters, candle holders) and high-quality soy candles.
• Compensation for a specialist providing training and support to students in the workshop
• Provision of professional equipment and materials for various types of creative work, including the production of concrete, gypsum, and other natural-material-based items.

How Will This Help Our Students?

The workshop gives students the opportunity to master production processes and gain practical experience in creating handmade products. This helps them prepare for future employment, increases their independence, and promotes social adaptation. Participation in creative activities also enhances their confidence in their abilities and stimulates a sense of personal achievement. We aim to challenge typical perceptions of the professions that individuals with intellectual disabilities can pursue.

Plans for the Future

Currently, we are working with students to create our own charitable lots, which will not only find their place in Ukrainian homes as stylish decor but will also receive high recognition in society. In today's context, these products are not just elements of interior design but also symbols of relevance and support for the Ukrainian cause. This will not only provide additional funding for the students' creative activities but also give them the opportunity to see tangible results from their work, boosting their self-esteem and contributing to their full integration into society.
